California Transparency In Supply Chains Act Disclosure

BARK holds ourselves and our vendors to high ethical standards, and we are committed to insuring our products are produced and manufactured with ingredients and materials sourced from suppliers that are not engaged in or otherwise involved in human trafficking and slavery. BARK conducts the following activities to promote our commitment to the ethical sourcing of products and the eradication of slavery and human trafficking:

Supplier Compliance

As a condition to doing business with BARK, our suppliers must fully comply with our Supplier Code of Conduct and the applicable legal requirements of the countries in which they conduct business. Among other things, our suppliers must certify that materials incorporated into any goods provided to BARK comply with all laws regarding slavery and human trafficking of the country or countries to which suppliers do business and produced such goods. In the event that suppliers are permitted to use subcontractors in accordance with the terms of any agreement with BARK, or use third parties to source materials in connection with the terms of any agreement with BARK, suppliers also are required to ensure that any such party complies with BARK’s requirements. Violations of our requirements or applicable legal requirements may result in termination of the supplier or submission to a corrective action plan.

Supplier Audits

To evaluate compliance with BARK’s standards for trafficking and slavery in supply chains, our suppliers are required to permit BARK, at any time, directly or through BARK’s designees, to conduct audits or inspect supplier’s books and records, and any facilities used by suppliers in procuring goods or services for BARK.

Internal Accountability

BARK trains its employees in a variety of areas, including ethical business conduct. Our Supplier Code of Conduct is incorporated into training of employees and managers who have responsibility for supply chain management and procurement. As necessary to conduct audits, our employees are trained to review and assess high risk areas associated with slave labor and human trafficking and how to mitigate risks within our supply chain.
